Ekklesia Defined

Original Greek Word: ἐκκλησία

“ekklesia” in Scripture is a living fellowship under divine authority, unified by (YeHoVaH’s) God's benevolent love, truth, and commissioned to "make disciples of the nations."

“ekklesia” means (YeHoVaH’s) God's people, through faith in the risen Christ, called together by God to listen to and act for God (YeHoVaH). The emphasis is on the action of (YeHoVaH) God, which has the force of a summons (as from a judge). The biblical ekklesia, the church, is a body of people assembling because (YeHoVaH) God called them to Himself, in love—not assembling to share their own thoughts or opinions, but to listen to the voice of (YeHoVaH) God, then declare, legislatively, YeHoVaH’s loving, spiritual authoritative governance. YeHoVaH’s loving, spiritual, authoritative governance then affects local, provincial, national, and global communities in the natural.”
