Our Prayers are Needed

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, for he wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message that God gave to the world at the proper time.”  —1 Timothy 2:1-6

President Obama is the Best … at Making Up Stuff

The short list

Barack Obama’s Spirituality

As Barack Obama made no bones about admitting in his 2006 memoir, "The Audacity of Hope," the secularism of his mother, father, and stepfather led him during his younger days to be far from a devoted Christian.

"On Easter or Christmas Day my mother might drag me to church, just as she dragged me to the Buddhist temple, the Chinese New Year celebration, the Shinto shrine, and ancient Hawaiian burial sites," Obama remembered. "But I was made to understand that such religious samplings required no sustained commitment on my part — no introspective exertion or self-flagellation."

Soon after that passage, Obama noted his mother's now well-known skepticism and hostility toward religion. "Religion was an expression of human culture, she would explain, not its wellspring, just one of the many ways — and not necessarily the best way — that man attempted to control the unknowable and understand the deeper truths about our lives," Obama wrote.

The future president told of the religious relativism that pervaded the environment in which he was raised. "In our household the Bible, the Koran, and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology."

Obama added that "although my father had been raised a Muslim, by the time he met my mother he was a confirmed atheist, thinking religion to be so much superstition, like the mumbo-jumbo of witch doctors that he had witnessed in the Kenyan villages of his youth." Obama's Indonesian stepfather was, similarly, "a man who saw religion as not particularly useful" in life.

Barack Obama professes, “I’m settled in the Christian tradition but there are other paths to God.”

Obviously, this contradicts Jesus the Christ’s decree recorded in the Bible at John 14:6:  “…no person comes unto the Father [God], except through Me.”  See also Acts 4:10-12; 1 Timothy 2:5 (above)

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” Barack Obama in his book, Audacity of Hope.

On one hand, President Obama professes, “I’m settled in the Christian tradition…”, on another hand, "...there are other paths to God.” On another hand, I will stand with the Muslims...”  And on yet another hand champions the acceptance of same-sex marriage. Each are diametrically opposed to each other.

"A double minded person is unstable in all their ways." (James 1:8)

One does not need to listen to more than 45 seconds of Barack Obama’s Call to Renewal to recognize a stark and uncomfortable reality of our need for prayer. And here is another and more recent public abuse of Scripture. And here’s yet another stark and uncomfortable reality of our need for prayer.

Pray for President Obama’s Salvation

“…Christ Jesus gave His life to purchase freedom for everyone.” —1 Timothy 2:5

“…No person comes unto the Father [God], except through Me.”  —Jesus the Christ at John 14:8

“…Jesus Christ of Nazareth … There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them." —Acts 4:10-12

“…You cannot be fruitful apart from me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain [united] in me, and I in them [united], will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”  —Jesus the Christ at John 15:4-5

Pray for Our Nation

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…” (Psalm 33:12)

“The [reverent] fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge…”  (Proverbs 1:7)

“The [reverent] fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10; 15:33; Psalm 111:10)

2 Samuel 23:2‑4 states: “…He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.”

“Two simple requirements for a ruler are here stated: he must be just, and he must rule in the fear of God. No doubt there is a prophetic reference here to the kingdom of Christ, and these words will find their complete and final fulfillment only in Christ. Nevertheless, the general principle is firmly established and applied to every man who exercises government. God's two requirements are that he will be just and God‑fearing. Whenever such a man is raised up to rule, God promises that blessings will follow: ‘He shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.’"

Barack Obama’s Unfortunate Early Years

Barack Obama's early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations. Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was just two-years old. Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Learn more here.

Senator Barack Obama

In His 2008 Campaign

For President of the USA

BarackHusseinObama

Barack Obama has styled himself a centrist—one who takes a position in the political center; a moderate. Does his record support that claim? As you know, it’s extremely difficult to get intelligent, independent-thinking news reporting. On this page, we examine Senator Obama's past, voting record, anti-war shift, economics, financial sponsorship, the people who've served as his advisers and mentors over the years, and a brief look at his spirituality. We show how the facts of Obama's actions and associations reveal his background — and his politics.

Senator Obama’s “Economic Justice”

Before many audiences, Sen. Obama speaks passionately about something called "economic justice."

"I've been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served," he has said.

And as president, "we'll ensure that economic justice is served," he asserts. "That's what this election is about."

Senator Obama’s "economic justice" means that the rich must be made to pay their "fair" share, he states.  He believes that government must step in and redistribute wealth.

Unfortunately, Senator Obama’s “economic justice” is not based on fact, which is why we're sharing this educational web page.

The fact is that the top 1% of taxpayers already pay 38% of the total tax in the U.S., while the bottom 50% pay just 3% of the load. And 40% of this lower 50% pay no taxes. Those are the nonpartisan facts, according to recent IRS data. (See also additional recent data.)

"The rich in America have little to complain about," Senator Obama claims. "The distribution of wealth is skewed, and levels of inequality are now higher than at any time since the Gilded Age."

Senator Obama cites data showing a deep gap between the income of the average worker and the wealthiest 1%. He thinks it's government's job to step in and close it — "for purposes of fairness."

Senator Obama reports, "Between 1971 and 2001, while the median wage and salary income of the average worker showed literally no gain, the income of the top hundredth of a percent went up almost 500%."

Such a snapshot comparison would be meaningful only if America were a caste society, in which the people making up one income group remained static over time.

But that's not the case. The composition of the rich and poor in this country is in constant flux, as the income distribution changes dramatically over relatively short periods. Few are "stuck" in poverty, or have a "lock" on wealth.

Senator Obama would discover this if he would look closely at the IRS' own data.

treasurydept1

Take the megarich — the top hundredth of a percent. According to a recent Treasury study, three-fourths of them in 1996 fell out of the group by 2005.

Meanwhile, more than half of those in the bottom income group in 1996 moved to a higher income group by 2005, with more than 5% leapfrogging to the richest quintile.

(It's no fluke: The same high degree of income mobility is seen in prior comparable periods, as well.)

Some poor moved up through personal effort, while many rode an expanding economy. Real median incomes of all taxpayers rose 24%, but the poor registered the biggest gains of all.

President Kennedy understood that a growing economy is like a rising tide that "lifts all boats." Senator Obama, on the other hand, thinks some are lifted and others lowered, as if the economy were a system of locks operated by a group of foul capitalists.

He also ignores the facts regarding how taxes change behavior. He reports that raising taxes on the most productive members of society won't "curb incentives to work or invest." For example, Senator Obama proposes a doubling in the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness.

During a primary debate, the ABC host, Charlie Gibson, explained the actual historical fact that raising the capital gains tax rate actually ends up costing the government revenues.

Senator Obama argued, "Well, Charlie, what I've said is that I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness."

What about the fairness of growth and revenues … with lower taxes? The rich must be made to pay their "fair" share, Sen. Obama asserts.

Once again, the top 1% of taxpayers already pay 38% of the total tax burden, according to recent IRS data, while the bottom 50% bear just 3% of the load.

Sen. Obama's economic plan also calls for mandating a "living wage." He plans to require that retailers pay $10 minimum wage indexed to inflation, along with a mandate to provide seven days of paid sick leave to workers.

Apparently Sen. Obama assumes business owners will simply eat the added costs.

But restaurants, the nation's second-largest private-sector employer, already operate on razor-thin profit margins. Faced with such mandatory paid benefits, they'll have no choice but to cut staff.

In fact, the last major minimum-wage increase cost the restaurant industry more than 146,000 jobs, the National Restaurant Association says, while restaurant owners put off plans to hire an additional 106,000 employees.

So Sen. Obama would get his wage-and-benefits mandate, but lose jobs in an industry that employs the very minorities Obama claims he's trying to help.

"If restaurateurs had their way, every lawmaker would run a small business before starting to legislate," the industry opined in a recent press release.

Senator Obama’s "economic justice" asserts the economy is a fixed pie, whereby the successful only get rich at the expense of the poor. And he believes government must step in and redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor. That would require massive transfers of wealth through government taxing and spending, a return to the entitlement days of old.

The new Census Bureau data and the Congressional Budget Office's data also reveal that Senator Obama’s economic policies ignore the nonpartisan facts. See what Senator Obama’s "tax fairness" actually produces here.

Based on the facts, it is clear that Sen. Obama’s economics are far from the theme of the U.S. Constitution and a euphemism for socialism. Of course, he is too smart to try to these ideas through the front door. He's disguising the wealth transfers as "investments" — "to make America more competitive," he says, or "that give us a fighting chance."  Additional source: ibd

Senator Obama’s Anti-war Shift

Does Sen. Obama really differ from McCain on Iraq? Thursday night, September 4th 2008 was a shift.

He flip-flopped on Iraq and the surge. Sen. Obama has until that night stanchly opposed the surge and mocked its success. Now he is in reverse gear, telling an interviewer, "I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated."

Meanwhile, he is still refusing to retract his initial opposition to the surge. "I've already said it's succeeded beyond our wildest dreams."

Within minutes of his change of positions, the leftwing blogs lit up. Code Pink, Moveon.org and the other far left supporters that helped nominate him are unhappy.

But his backtracking didn't stop with the surge. Obama went on to say this about the War on Terror, and we quote for accuracy:

Interviewer: "Do you believe we are in the middle of a War on Terror."
Barack Obama: "Absolutely."
Interviewer: "Who's the enemy?"
Barack Obama: "Al Qaeda, the Taliban, a whole host of networks that are bent on attacking America, who have a distorted ideology, who have perverted the faith of Islam and so we have to go after them."

Then he changed his stance on Iran:

Interviewer: "The next President of the United States is going to have to make a decision about Iran whether to stop them militarily, because I don't believe, if diplomacy works - fine, but you've gotta have a plan B and a lot of people are saying look Barack Obama's not going to attack Iran...
Barack Obama (interrupts): "Look, look here's where you and I agree. It's unacceptable for Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. It would be a game changer and I've said that repeatedly. I've also said I would never take a military option off the table."

So there you have it. President George Bush, Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain now all have similar position on Iran. Seems like recently Obama was giving us a lecture from the Democratic Convention in Denver on how America needed more talks with these proud members of the axis of evil.

This reversal on foreign policy could undermine the anti-war base vote he needs to win. His coalition needs the anti-war message to hold together. The interviewer was reporter, Bill O’Reilly.

Catching Wild Pigs

There was a Chemistry professor in a large university that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?' The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke.

'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs that are used to the free corn start to come through the gate to eat, and then you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the wild for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc, etc, etc. While we continue to lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

In this year's election, many believe that Barack
Hussein Obama’s “programs” are the most obvious “fence-sides” in this analogy.

Intuitively, we know that there is no such thing as a ‘free lunch.’ And most of us have realized that we are not receiving a fair value in exchange for our taxes rendered. We see clearly that
“Democrat” and “Republican” politicians have squandered the Founders' legacy of liberty and justice under our Constitution. Countless government officials in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government ignore their oath to uphold and defend our Constitution. In this very important election year, you are doing well to investigate what Barack Hussein Obama. “Look under the hood” further.
