The Dispensation of Human Government From the Plan of God Consequences for sin during this dispensation: God confused the language of man to scatter them over all the face of the earth before it was divided (Gen. 11:1-9). About 340 years after the flood He divided the earth into continents and islands as it is today, to separate the different peoples more permanently (Gen. 10:25; 1 Chr. 1:19; Dt. 32:8; Acts 17:26).
