Were We Causing Global Warming?
Many
people today are worried that “climate change” is threatening life on earth. It
used to be known as “global warming” but the
global temperature has been not been rising since 2002. They often
blame pollution from modern industry, which is increasing the amount of
certain atmospheric gases, such as carbon dioxide, that trap heat. Some
individuals have gone so far as to say that we must take immediate action to
halt global warming—climate change—to prevent catastrophic consequences
within the next century. What are we to make of such claims?
First,
there was evidence that global warming was indeed happening. Virtually all
the glaciers in the world had receded in the last century. Measurements
indicated that the earth’s global average temperature had gone up 1.2°F
(0.7°C) from 1880 to 2000. This really isn’t very much of a change, and there
is much reason to believe that even that number has been inflated. In any
case, there was good reason to believe that the earth had warmed in the last
century, until 2000, if only slightly.
In
addition, we know that industry releases certain gases into the atmosphere,
and many of these gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, tend to reflect
infrared radiation. This means that they trap heat and warm the earth much
the way a greenhouse does—hence the term the “greenhouse effect.”
Theoretically, an increase in the abundance of these greenhouse gases would
trap more heat, leading to an increase in the earth’s temperature. In
reality, it’s far more complicated than this. Let’s consider a few important
facts.
It’s very
important to note that changes in atmospheric carbon dioxide do not always
correlate well with changes in the earth’s temperature. For example, the
earth’s temperature rose substantially from 1910 to 1940, yet the carbon
dioxide levels rose only slightly.
Conversely, the global temperature has been falling since 2002,
even though carbon dioxide levels continue to rise. There were substantial
changes in climate in the ninth and seventeenth centuries, and yet these

understand that there has been no change in “alarmists’ forecasts of the
future” in the new and improved “climate change” propaganda.
Record Antarctica Ice Contradicts Global Warming Trend
As
climatologists worry about the effects of global warming, Antarctica has quietly set a new record
for the greatest sea ice extent ever measured at either pole, according
to various sources.
The Premeditated Science of Climate Change
The U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change, or IPCC, reported that climate change was the result of human
activity, specifically the burning of fossil fuels that emit “greenhouse
gases.”
“That’s the result that they get when
they premeditate their science,” said Dr. Timothy Ball, an expert in
climatology and former professor of climatology at the University of Winnipeg.
In 1992 the IPCC commissioned the
research to only study human activity in this context. They simply ignored
what’s known as “natural variability” and that natural variability changes
over time. One natural variable ignored is activity of the sun, for example.
Sun activity is not human activity, and therefore sun activity data is not
considered.
“When you set out to establish a
certain outcome and you program your computers to collect incomplete data,
you shouldn’t be surprised if that’s the result you get. The problem is what
they’re getting out of their computers is not fitting with what’s actually
happening. Of course, that’s been the problem with the IPCC all along.”
The latest data actually show
temperatures have dropped in recent years. The IPCC and other scientists have
branded this as a “pause” in climate change. Ball said that characterization
implies that temperatures are temporarily holding steady and will inevitably
rise again soon. He said that conclusion contradicts what is actually
happening.
“The temperature is going down and
has for 17 years while carbon dioxide increases,” Ball said. “According to
their hypothesis and model, that’s simply not supposed to happen. Rather than
doing what they should do and coming out and saying, ‘Our science is wrong,
our models are wrong and we apologize for all the inconvenience we’ve caused
you,’ they’re just plowing ahead.”
The long-held contention of those who
warn of climate catastrophe is that rising carbon dioxide levels in the
atmosphere lead to higher temperatures. So if that belief is incorrect, why
are temperatures getting cooler?
“The sun is causing the cooling
that’s going on. Sun activity has been declining ever since 2000,” said
Ball.
Ball told WND
the deception of the IPCC and its allies can be seen in how the reports are
released, with the policy statement drawing headlines while the contradicting
scientific information comes later and is largely ignored.
The “premeditated” science is a major
culprit for the climate-change concerns, according to Ball. But he also
blames the media.
“The main reason they were able to
get away with what they’ve gotten away with is that a majority of the
mainstream media were complicit in what (the IPCC and other scientists) were
doing,” Ball said. “This is where the Founding Fathers have been corrupted
because they believed the media would be the watchdogs, the gatekeepers. The
mainstream media have failed completely.”

Is There a Political
(Control & Power Grab) Trail to Climate Change?
In 1971, Patrick Moore, Ph.D. was one of
several activists who founded Greenpeace in the basement of the Unitarian Church in Vancouver. The Vietnam war was raging and nuclear holocaust seemed closer every day. They
linked peace, ecology, and a talent for media communications and went on to
build the world's largest environmental activist organization. By 1986 Greenpeace
was established in 26 countries and had an income of over $100 million
per year.
In 1986, Dr. Patrick Moore resigned from Greenpeace
because it became a movement of the Communist Party. Patrick Moore, PhD now believes much of the ‘green’ movement’s
“agenda is a
greater threat to the global environment than that posed by
mainstream society.”
Patrick
Moore, Ph.D., testified
before the Senate Environmental and Public Works Committee's Subcommittee on
Oversight on Feb. 25, 2014:
"There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon
dioxide are the dominant cause of the minor changing of the Earth's
atmosphere over the past 100 years. If there were such a proof
it would be written down for all to see. No actual proof, as it is understood
in science, exists," testified Dr. Moore.
"The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change (IPCC) states: 'It is extremely likely that human influence has been
the dominant cause of the observed warming' since the mid-20th century.”
"'Extremely likely' is not a scientific term
but rather a judgment, as in a court of law."

Strategies in Vancouver,
Canada, also
told the subcommittee: "Perhaps the simplest way to expose the fallacy
of ‘extreme certainty’ is to look at the historical record.
"The increase in temperature between 1910
and 1940 was virtually identical to the increase between 1970 and 2000. Yet
the IPCC does not attribute the increase from 1910-1940 to 'human influence.'
They are clear in their belief that human emissions impact only the increase
since the mid-20th century. Why does the IPCC believe that a virtually
identical increase in temperature after 1950 is caused mainly by 'human
influence,' when it has no explanation for the nearly identical increase from
1910-1940?"

“When
President Obama appointed Lisa Jackson as head of the EPA, she promised to
“ensure EPA’s efforts to address the environmental crises of today are rooted
in three fundamental values: science-based policies and programs, adherence
to the rule of law, and overwhelming transparency.” During the EPA’s
deliberations on the “endangerment” ruling for CO2, one of its top economic
policy experts, Alan Carlin, a 35-year veteran of the agency, presented a
98-page analysis concluding that the science behind man-made global warming
is inconclusive at best and that the agency should re-examine its findings.
His analysis noted that global temperatures were on a downward trend. It
pointed out problems with climate models. It highlighted new research about
climate change that contradicts apocalyptic scenarios. “We believe our
concerns and reservations are sufficiently important to warrant a serious
review of the science by EPA,” the report read.
In
response to the report Carlin’s boss, Al McGartland,
emailed him, forbidding him from engaging in “any direct communication” with any one outside his office about his analysis. In a
follow-up email, McGartland wrote, “With the
endangerment finding nearly final, you need to move on to other issues and
subjects. I don’t want you to spend any additional EPA time on climate
change. No papers, no research, etc., at least until we see what EPA is going
to do with Climate.”

despite this, the Obama Administration plans to finalize as many as 14 new loan guarantees for renewable energy companies,
including nine for solar projects.
The real
goal of cap and trade, “health care,” the $timulus,
the devaluation of the dollar by printing money, and unprecedented and
unsustainable debt, and illegal immigration is to rip the guts out of our
private economy and transfer wide swaths of it to government control.
No Global
Warming in 23 Years
October 1, 2014, marked 18
consecutive years without global warming. There has been "no
significant warming trend in surface average temperature" in those 18
years, said Patrick Michaels, Ph.D, director of the
Cato Institute's Center for the Study of Science.
Michaels, who earned a doctorate in ecological
climatology reports, also points to findings by the University of Illinois'
Polar Ice Research Center that Antarctic ice "is at its highest extent
measured by the current microwave satellite sounding system" since 1978.
"And if you take a close look at the Arctic data, it appears the decline
[in polar ice] stopped around 2005/2006, which means we've almost had 10
years without any net loss in Arctic ice."
"If the surface temperature resumed the
warming rate that we observed from, say 1977 through 1998, we would still go
close to a quarter of a century without significant net warming because there's
such a long flat period built into the record now," also reports
Michaels.
Michaels spent three decades as a research
professor of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia and was a
contributing editor to the United Nations' second Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change report.
Former NASA Scientist: Global
Warming Is 'Nonsense'
A prominent scientist and former NASA researcher
has added his voice to those who challenge the "scientific fact" that
manmade carbon emissions are causing global warming.
Dr. Leslie Woodcock is a professor emeritus of
chemical thermodynamics at the University
of Manchester in England, with
a Ph.D. from the University
of London, and served
as a senior research consultant at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Laboratory
in Ohio.
In an interview with Britain's Yorkshire Evening Post,
Woodcock declared: "The theory of 'manmade climate change' is an
unsubstantiated hypothesis.
"The theory is that CO2 emitted by burning
fossil fuel causes 'global warming.' In fact, water is a much more powerful
greenhouse gas and there is 20 times more of it in our atmosphere [than
carbon dioxide].
"Carbon dioxide has been made out to be some
kind of toxic gas but the truth is it's the gas of life. We breathe it out,
plants breathe it in. The green lobby has created a do-good industry and it
becomes a way of life, like a religion. [Please see the “The Spirituality
Trail to Global Warming” below.] I understand why people defend it when they
have spent so long believing in it."
Woodcock is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of
Chemistry, a founding editor of the journal Molecular Simulation, a recipient
of a Max Planck Society Visiting Fellowship, and a former guest scientist at
the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology.
He went on to say: "If you talk to real
scientists who have no political interest, they will tell you there is
nothing in global warming. It's an industry which creates vast amounts of

"The temperature of the earth has been going
up and down for thousands of years. If there are extremes, it's nothing to do
with carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it's not permanent and it's not caused
by us. Global warming is nonsense.
"It's become almost an industry, as a
consequence of this professional misconduct by government advisers around the

He added: "You can't blame ordinary people
with little or no science education for wanting to be seen to be good
citizens who care about their grandchildren's future and the
environment."

Warming
In the
face of claims that man is causing disastrous global warming, an objective
look at the facts and additional evidence show otherwise. Natural processes
on the sun account for over 50 percent of the claimed 1.2°F global warming,
which is likely too warm. Since the climate simulations greatly exaggerate
the temperature rise from an increase in carbon dioxide, these models cannot
be trusted. Thus, man is likely responsible for only about 0.5°F warming—miniscule
and likely impossible to mitigate. What is really needed is unbiased research
in climate change. Climate disaster is not just around the corner; we have
sufficient time for careful research.

The Spirituality Trail to
Global Warming
Spiritual dynamics are
what drive the physical dynamics. Much of the environmental movement has
gotten back to its pagan roots as it subtly fosters rejection of the Bible
and Christianity.
So called Spiritual Greens
tell us that Earth can save herself - she has the wisdom and power - humans
don't. But we can help her by becoming conscious of the oneness and
sacredness of all her parts.
To the extent the
environmental movement embraces the philosophies of the New Age movement - it
joins in that part of a strategy to control the American People, to derail
and disempower traditional Christianity, and to deceive the world into
adopting Anti-Christian views.
The New Age movement
generally advocates a synthesis or recovery of ideas and practices, which
celebrates our relationship with the Earth. (There are sub-currents in the
New Age movement which include overt Satanic practices and those are definitely
in conflict with Christian beliefs.)
The
“Spirit of the Earth” Activists
The
Environmental Health Sourcebook, Well Body, Well Earth, tells us to "turn
to the traditions of ancient cultures" such as Buddhist
meditations and Native American Hopi rituals in order to "reaffirm
our bond with the spirit of the living earth." "The
more you contact the voice of the living Earth and evaluate what it says, the
easier it will become for you to contact it and trust what it provides."
That a
granddaddy of environmental action agencies would publish The
Environmental Health Sourcebook, Well Body, Well Earth recommending
our communicating with the "spirit of the earth" is
just one cause for Christians to be on the alert for satanic deception in the
environmental movement.
Spiritual
Greens take offense at the Christian belief that people are the most valuable
of God's creation on earth. They believe that since everything on earth is
connected and interdependent, no one element is more valuable than another.
In the
New Age environmentalists view, humanity represents a great danger to the
rest of creation because there is effectively no difference between the
creator and creation.
Greens in all categories
generally agree on the following:
- By resisting
the return of earth-centered religions, Christians block the global movement
toward the one-world religion needed to unify people and save the earth.
* To reverse the
trend, storytellers and artists must revive earth-centered myth and reconnect
us to Earth's spirit.
* Healthy,
flourishing diversity requires a substantial decrease in the human population
and its interference with nature's processes.
A New
Age, a New World Order, a new world economic system, a new world ecology, and
a new world spirituality. Behind this movement, however, are dark spiritual
forces. Without understanding the nature of
those dark forces it is nearly impossible to understand the unfolding of
world events.
The New Age Message
1.
Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in
perpetual balance with nature.
2.
Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness
and diversity.
3.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
4.
Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all
things with tempered reason.
5.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and
just courts.
6.
Let all nations rule internally resolving
external disputes in a world court.
7.
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
9.
Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony
with the infinite.
10. Be
not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.
Limiting
the population of the earth to 500 million would require the extermination of
nine-tenths of the world's people. The reference to establishing a world
court reflects the current move to create an International Criminal Court and
a world government (see “ClimareGate” above). The
movement's emphasis on preserving nature reflects the environmental movement since
the 1990s, and references to "seeking harmony with the infinite"
reflects the current effort to replace Judeo-Christian beliefs with a new
spirituality; Humanism.

The Religion of Secular Humanism
